A complete mystery as to the exact blend that goes into this whiskey. Labeled as a Kentucky Straight whiskey we can assume that it can be attributed to big players such as Buffalo Trace, Barton, Angel's envy etc. However, does it really matter in this case? I mean you're walking into the sto' with a Hamilton! You can't be too picky at that point!

Served neat in a Glencairn glass - 80 proof - 40% alc/vol.

Whiskey Review:

Nose: Simple syrup, limoncello, light vanilla and brown sugar. Very subtle orange rind and tobacco.

Palate: Mouthfeel is... how do I say this? Lumpy? Very unique but tends to congeal around certain parts of the mouth and feels lumpy.

Otherwise its very oily and easy to swish around. Lemon rind and lemon hit the tongue first and then it transforms into a watery vanilla with brown sugar mixture. Very light pepper and cinnamon kick up on the back-end. There's almost a sour apple and apple rind note right on the back-end.

Finish: Lightly tannic and short in length. Leaves vanilla, cinnamon, caramel and light oak.

Availability? Common. You might not have seen this guy in the stores, but that is because you are looking up. Try looking a little lower on the shelves and your perspective will change quickly! Still an ok score though, mostly attributed to value alone.
